Afghan forces conduct 94 Joint, Special Ops and 22 airstrikes in past 24 hours: MoD
The Afghan security forces conducted 94 Joint and Special Operations against militants in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Defense in a statement said Saturday that the security forces conducted 13 joint and 81 special operations to suppress the militants.
Furthermore, the Afghan Air Force conducted 22 airstrikes to support the ground forces.
The statement further added that the security forces conducted the operations in Paktika, Takhar, Daikundi, Faryab, Maidan Wardak, Paktiya, Helmand, Zabul, Sar-e-Pul, Ghazni, Logar, Farah, Kunar, Balkh and Badakhshan provinces.
Meanwhile, the defense ministry said the security forces killed 73 militants and wounded 31 others during the operations.
The security forces also arrested 23 suspected militants during the operations, the Ministry of Defense added.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense said the coalition forces also provided support to the Afghan security forces during the operations.
