Afghan Security Forces Killed More than 60 militants

Kabul- Afghan Security Forces have killed more than 60 insurgents during separate military offensives carried out in northwestern Badghis, northern Baghlan, and eastern Nangarhar provinces.
“The Afghan Special Forces conducted a clearance operation against Taliban in Qal’ah-e Now district of Badghis province killing 48 militants and destroyed 9 IEDs,” Sources said.
According to Khaama Press, citing a source the Afghan Special Forces conducted a military offensive against Taliban militants in Pul-E Khumri district of Baghalan province in order to put an end to terrorist activities along Highway 1, leaving at least six Taliban insurgents killed.
Moreover, a Taliban commander, Gul Mohammad, was killed along with 10 Taliban militants in Hisarak district of Nangarhar province on January 17, the sources said, adding that Gul Mohammad was responsible for planning and directing attacks against the Afghan security forces and civilians.
Afghan Security Forces have escalated military offensives against the terrorist groups across the country and kill or capture the enemies of the country.
In the meantime, Peace Process, led by Zalmay Khalilzad is also underway, but required outcome is awaited.
It is generally believed that peace and stability in Afghanistan would be a dream until the terror course of Pakistan was not shunned and the terrorist groups and their networks on its soil were not eradicated.
