Ghani appoints Abdul Tawab Bala Karzai as acting minister of higher education
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has appointed Abdul Tawab Bala Karzai as acting minister of higher education of Afghanistan.
The Office of the Chief of Staff of Presidential Palace, ARG, issued a statement earlier this evening confirming that President Ghani has appointed Mr. Abdul Tawab Bala Karzai as acting minister of higher education.
The statement further added that President Ghani has issued a decree confirming Mr. Abdul Tawab Bala Karzai’s appointment as acting minister of education as per the Article 13 and Item 64 of the constitution of Afghanistan.
According to reports, Mr. Bala Karzai was previously was previously serving as deputy Academic and Professional of the ministry of education.
Mr. Bala Karzai has completed his higher secondary education in Kabul and has obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the field of civil engineering from the University of Kandahar and Master’s degree from the Asian Institute of Technology AIT in the field of engineering and water resources.
