President Ghani Discusses Afghan Peace With Saudi King

Kabul- President Ashraf Ghani in a telephonic conversation with Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz discussed the Afghan peace process, Presidential Palace said in a statement on Saturday.
During the conversation, President Ghani thanked Saudi King for its role in the Afghan peace process, said the statement.
According to the statement, President Ghani appreciated Saudi Arabia’s role to promote peace and stability in Afghanistan and said the Jeddah conference was a good step forward for the next initiatives for prevailing peace.
Meanwhile, King Salman said Saudi Arabia will continue to help peace in Afghanistan and that they believe in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process, the statement said.
This comes after Saudi Arabia attended meetings between US and Taliban representatives in Abu Dhabi.
President Ghani meetings and telephonic conversations with global leaders to take them into confidence over the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process with Taliban could be of high value.
Moreover, the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Council of the country have to realize the importance and need of their vigilant and result-oriented role to secure the country’s national interests and, win war against the enemies of Afghanistan and, the civilized world.
Additionally, President Ghani should hold a joint meeting with Kabul-based diplomats to meet their moral and political support for the Afghan narrative, when it comes Taliban and their hosting countries.
The newly appointed Interior Minister, Amrullah Salih and Defense Minister, Asadullah Khalid have announced offensive position for the country’s military forces against the Afghan enemies.
Taking right decisions on right time and exercising skillful and meaningful diplomacy could easy Afghanistan’s job in regional and global politics.
