Taliban, ISIS militants among 9 killed in latest airstrikes conducted in 4 provinces
The security forces conducted airstrikes in four provinces in the past 24 hours killing at least 9 militants.
The informed military sources said Monday that an airstrike in Andar district of Ghazni killed 1 Taliban fighter.
Furthermore, an airstrike killed 1 ISIS fighter in Deh Bala district of Nangarhar province.
Meanwhile, the security sources said an airstrike killed 2 Taliban fighters in Shindand district of Herat.
The security forces also conducted an airstrike in Bala Boluk district of Farah province and killed 5 Taliban fighters. The airstrike also wounded 1 Taliban fighter.
The anti-government armed militants have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
The security situation in Ghazni, Nangarhar, Herat and Farah provinces has deteriorated during the recent months.
The anti-government armed militants are active in some districts of the four provinces and often conduct terrorist related activities.
Meanwhile, the Afghan forces routinely conduct counter-terrorism operations against the anti-government armed groups in these provinces.
The U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive parts of the country to suppress Taliban and other anti-government militants.
