Taliban’s IED maker among 13 killed, wounded in Farah and Herat provinces
A coalition airstrike in Herat province killed a Taliban IED maker and wounded another Taliban group member.
The 207th Zafar Corps in a statement said the coalition forces conducted an airstrike in Azizabad Village of Zawal district in Herat.
The statement further added that the airstrike killed Ewaz son of Mir Khan, one of the IED makers of Taliban.
The airstrike also wounded another key Taliban group member Sher Ahmad who is the brother of Taliban’s shadow district chief for Zawal.
Meanwhile, a clash broke out between the Afghan forces and Taliban during an operation in Posht-e-Rod district of Farah province, the 207th Zafar Corps said.
The security forces killed four Taliban militants and wounded 7 others during the clash.
The 207th Zafar Corps also added that the security forces discovered and defused 7 improvised explosive devices during the operation.
