Thirty-five Afghan cricketers enter CPL draft
Thirty-five Afghan cricketers have been listed for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 player draft that will be held in London next week on 22 May.
They are among record 536 players from 20 overseas countries and hosts West Indies who are available to be picked by the six CPL teams.
Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Qais Ahmad and Mohammad Shahzad are among the Afghans in the mix for the draft.
The West Indian T20 tournament will kick off in August this year.
The draft list includes some of the best players in the format including the likes of Jofra Archer, Shakib Al Hasan, JP Duminy, Rashid Khan and Alex Hales along with the Windies stars like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer.
